Uncashed Tickets
Uncashed tickets are valid for the entire calendar year following the year that they were purchased. For example, a ticket purchased January 1, 2014 will be good through December 31, 2015. Likewise, a ticket purchased December 31, 2014 will also be valid through December 31, 2015.
Periodically tickets are electronically removed from the computer systems used at the tracks. These winning tickets must be paid by the Illinois Host track who sponsored the race in question.
For out of state simulcast races, the Host status changes at 6:30 pm. This means that simulcast races conducted before 6:30 pm were either hosted by Arlington or Hawthorne depending on which race meet was in progress at the time. Out of state races conducted after 6:30 were either hosted by Maywood or Balmoral, depending on which race meet was in progress at the time.
Please contact an OTB manager or Racetrack manager to determine which racetrack to call to arrange for redemption of uncashed tickets that are not on the computer system.
